Leaves and Apples (Week 1)

There is so much to learn about leaves and apples that we are spending two whole weeks on them. We spent our first week doing a lot of collecting leaves for projects. We practiced our counting as we collected the leaves. We compared the leaves and talked about their similarities and their differences. We made a wreath out of leaves that we took home to hang at our house! We also put leaves in little bags that looked like pumpkins and ghosts and hung them on the big tree outside. We get to look at them every morning and afternoon when we are coming and going! We enjoyed eating lots of apples for snack and learning songs about apples. Next week we are going to make our very own applesauce!
