We learned what gourds are we compared each ones similarity and differences. We felt their bumpy texture and then we got to dip them in paint and roll them around in a box with paper taped to it. Our gourd paintings turned out really neat!

Pumpkins
We had a great time learning with pumpkins and gourds this week. We sorted different types of pumpkins, counted pumpkins, read some great books about pumpkins and got to decorate our very own pumpkin to take home with us. We dipped our fingers in black and white white paint and put them on the pumpkins to create ghosts and spiders! We also counted pumpkin seeds to practice our one to one correspondence.
