Happy (CHINESE) New Year!

This week we touched upon Chinese New Year.  We learned that China is a place very far away and that we cannot get to it by driving a car or riding a bike.  We learned that an airplane would have to take us there because there is water that separates us! We tried to use chopsticks to pick up pom-poms, we also used the chopsticks to make a colorful paintings. We enjoyed noodles and vegetables for lunch one day and we learned what Chinese letters look like! They look a lot different than our letters! We made lanterns and hung them in our classroom to decorate for the new year! We also made dragons out of recycled egg cartons!

The letter of the week was "M".  We enjoyed making our "M" collage this week.  We also did an awesome job at writing our "M"'s and writing words that start with the letter "M".

Happy New Year!
