Zoo Animal fun!

This week our theme was Zoo Animals.  We talked about what types of animals live in the Zoo.   After taking a poll we decided that one of our favorites is the Giraffe! We did marble Zebra paintings and had lots of fun rolling the ball around the inside of a shallow box. We listened to the book 1 Zany Zoo by Lori Degman. It was a silly book about the animals escaping from their cages!  We learned who a Zookeeper was, and we counted and sorted Zoo Animals by size.  The letter of the week was "J".  Some of us are starting to recognize the letter "J",  while some of us are learning to write the letter "J", and some are practicing writing words that start with the letter "J".  We spend time at our writing center everyday practicing, we love to show off what we have done in the writing center! We also took a field trip to Bounce U.  We had so much fun bouncing, climbing and sliding :) Until next week...
