We spent the last few weeks talking about farms and Thanksgiving! We spent a week talking about fruits and vegetables and we even got to taste some new types of fruits and veggies. We made charts and listed our favorite fruits and vegetables and we even got creative and tried different types of ways to eat them. We practiced recognizing which food was a fruit and which was a vegetable by going on a scavenger hunt in our play kitchen.
We learned so much about Thanksgiving (the Pilgrims and Indians, the Mayflower and Plymouth Rock) and practiced retelling stories by drawing it on paper. We had many very creative Thanksgiving illustrations. We even made our own books titled The Story of Thanksgiving, we got to take them home and tell the story to our families. As always we enjoyed being creative and making lots of different Thanksgiving crafts. Check out our pine cone Turkeys!
